KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: The Domestic Workers Department in the Residency Affairs General Directorate at the Ministry of Interior conducted a series of inspection campaigns targeting domestic labor offices in Jahra Governorate, resulting in the arrest of several individuals who committed violations while some offices were found to be providing shelter to runaway housemaids.
In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department at the ministry confirmed the continuation of such campaigns in all governorates to track down those who violated the law including the unlicensed domestic labor offices. The department urged citizens and expatriates to refrain from dealing with such offices, and not hire any worker through these offices.
